A Review of 2025

Diet & Nutrition: “Lack of fitness is a way, way, way bigger predictor of mortality than lack of correct nutrition. Full stop.” —Peter Attia

My learnings in 2025 in point form:

  • Exercise: Tried jumping but sustained a number of injuries (shin splints, hamstring tears). Currently landed on high jump.
  • Exercise: Tendon vs Muscle. The importance of the Achilles Tendon. Might be very relevant to fall risk.
  • Exercise: Some indication that lower body (legs) might be more important than upper body.
  • Exercise: Aerobic running, and weights training to build muscle mass. We need to shift emphasis of weight training to building strength and power. We should/could include sprints and jumps for power.
  • Diet: Increased vegetables/fibre in diet. Moved to filtered coffee to reduce LDL-C.
  • Light: Seems to be an underappreciated, but vital component of healthy living. Red light devices get all the buzz, but sunlight (without getting burn) is king.
  • Communication: Thinking of a giant mind map (or flow chart), where we can stack horizontally and vertically. Each block (or stack) can be further accessed to get more details, but having a comprehensive visual picture might work well.
