Rather than publishing a traditional book, I’ve chosen to share my writings on this website. Many people aspire to write a book, but few actually do. I believe that a “book on a website” is a radically optimal way to share valuable information and reach a wider audience. My goal is to maximise the impact of my writings and I hope that you find something useful here.
I welcome feedback from readers – especially suggestions on how I can improve my writing. Please consider this a collective effort, contributing to the benefit of humanity.
Before I explain my vision for this “book on a website,” let me provide some context. By day, I’m a fund manager, but much of my time is also dedicated to my role as a parent. While I enjoy writing, it can be time-consuming. However, I believe there’s tremendous value in distilling hours of reading or viewing into a concise, actionable summary that can be absorbed in 5 minutes. Not only does this benefit me, but it could help others as well.
I often joke that, as a fund manager, I help wealthy people get richer. But as I get older, I’ve come to realise that health is the true wealth. If I can help both the healthy and the unhealthy improve their well-being, that will impart a much more meaningful form of richness.
This brings me to my core objective: to communicate best practices for increasing both lifespan and healthspan, with a particular focus on exercise – in as few words as possible, or as many as are needed. Instead of a never-ending stream of posts “to build engagement”, what we truly need is a practical guide that remains stable enough for implementation, yet flexible enough to evolve with new research.
